Live Story Telling Event

Storytellers needed for Nov. 16 live storytelling event at Sul Ross

Marfa Public Radio, KSRU, and Sul Ross State University's Department of Fine Arts and Communication will present a free evening of live storytelling on Thursday, November 16, from 7pm to 8:30pm in Marshall Auditorium at Sul Ross.

We are looking for students, staff, faculty and Alpine community members to tell five-minute-long, personal, real-life stories about the theme: First Times. Everyone has a story, and everyone has had a first time, from your first day at school to your first day at work, first crush to first heartbreak, and everything in between.

Have a story to tell? Please contact ksruradio@gmail.com or 432-294-3084 with your idea before October 19. Include your name, a short paragraph about your story idea, and a very short bio.

Stories will be performed live in front of an audience in Marshall Auditorium, and will later be broadcast on Marfa Public Radio and KSRU. For inspiration and examples, visit The Moth (https://www.themoth.org), Stoop Storytelling (http://www.stoopstorytelling. com), and Back Fence PDX (http://backfencepdx.com).
